Synopsis
Struggling with his dual identity, failed comedian Arthur Fleck meets the love of his life, Harley Quinn, while incarcerated at Arkham State Hospital. Lady Gaga, Brendan Gleeson and director-writer Todd Phillips talk about what scared them the most about the musical sequel. . Plus, Gaga discusses how she got into and stayed in her dark character. This initially led to speculation about Harley Quinn’s appearance in the film, which was confirmed shortly after. The name Folie a Deux comes from the 19th century French psychiatrists Charles Lasègue and Jules Falret.

The term was coined for two or more people who share the same insanity or delusion. The foreman of the jury for the "People of New York" Instead of Gotham City. This is because New York State is the plaintiff in a criminal case, and this version of Gotham City is obviously located in New York State (most versions place Gotham in New Jersey). The director continues with a sequel that is sadly empty and lacks character development.Phillips has outdone himself in directing a film that has outstanding cinematography/visuals and captures every feeling and emotion he wants to say and express. BUT it failed to create an engaging storyline. The characters of the film usually change from the first part to the second part.
Their personality changes
Events/obstacles come their way that change their lives. OR new characters enter their lives, opening the door to further interesting events that result in a “Folie à Deux”. Joker/Arthur Fleck’s life doesn’t seem to change much in this movie as Gaga’s character Lee is added. Instead, the film repeats events by revisiting the past (the first Joker film) or reacting to some of its scenes. Even within this film, he keeps returning to the same locations and events. The result is a generic boring movie that is ONLY visually entertaining.
But the song choice wasn’t right
This movie introduces the two main characters of the world of Gotham, Harvey Dent, who is played by Harry Lawtey terribly and written even worse. By the end of the movie I felt that it was useless and that they were taking advantage of his 'name' within comic book fandom. The same goes for Lady Gaga Lee, who just felt like she wasn’t in this movie. I enjoyed how this movie uses music/songs to show that it is an escape for our inner selves. On the other hand, the cinematography skills of Gaga or Joaquin Phoenix and Lawrence Sher did well in their performances.
